The restaurant is one of two owned by the husband and wife team of executive chef Russ Berger and executive pastry chef
Sherry Berger. The couples other restaurant is also located in the South End and is Firefly an American bistro.
Firefly is located at 130 Dartmouth Street next to Copley Place. Firefly is a great place for Saturday & Sunday Brunch
as well as lunch and Dinner. The restaurant has been making its own desserts for the past 13 years. The restaurant also sells
over 6 varieties of its world famous brownies online at www.bandbbrowniefactory.com for birthdays, anniversaries and corporate
gifts.
The restaurant also has a private dining room, perfect for meetings or celebrations. The dining room seats up to 42 people,
but also works for smaller groups of 10. The restaurant features several choices of prix fix menus to make planning your event
as simple as possible.
Executive chef Russ Berger graduated first in his class from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Mr. Berger
is the third generation in his family to be in the restaurant business. Chef Berger's specialty has been to be able to create
mouth watering cuisine yet make it extremely affordable. Pastry Chef Sherry Berger trained on the West Coast and is able to
create desserts that compliment the overall concept of the restaurant.

Chef/owner Russ Berger is third generation Restaurant owner. Originally from New York he moved to Boston after graduating
from the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Berger graduated first in his class in November of 1986. After working for
the Back Bay Restaurant Group he opened the Blue Wave Restaurant (at the present location of Laurel Grill & Bar) with
his then future wife Sherry Berger. After opening Blue Wave in 1990 the husband & wife team opened Moka (now Firefly
an American Bistro) in 1992 and Baja Mexican Cantina in 1994 (now Prairie Star Southwestern Grill & Bar). After closing
for several month's in 1997 Laurel Grill & Bar was born.
